A wonderfully simple and healthy way to enjoy chicken that will also fill your kitchen with exotic aromas, this Braised Chicken with Ginger is a real crowd pleaser.
Braised Chicken with Ginger Recipe
Peel and dice shallots, scrape and dice ginger
The authentic method should be to chop the shallots and ginger. I am lazy, so I chose to use a juicer to make the juice, so that the ginger flavor can easily enter the chicken, and the marinating time is greatly shortened.
Add a little water and beat until there is some juice, no need to beat all the juice
Chicken washed and drained
Add the soy sauce and stir, then pour in the freshly beaten shallots
Mix well and marinate at room temperature for about 15 minutes
Put a few pieces of ginger and shallots out of the hot pot, because the non-stick electric hot pot is used, the chicken will emit oil during the stewing process, and the hot pot will not add oil
Pour in the marinated chicken, add an appropriate amount of water, cover the pot and start to simmer. Try the taste during the simmering process. If it is light, you can add a little soy sauce or salt. Most Cantonese dishes add a little sugar during the cooking process. I will omit it here if I quit sugar in the keto period.
It will take about 15 minutes to see if the chicken is cooked through.
The whole house is full of ginger fragrance, super satisfying
At this time, it would be perfect to add a bowl of white rice.
